Frequently Asked Questions

Does everyone get to take home a free fishing pole?

We can't guarantee everyone will take home a free fishing pole, as this is on a first come first serve basis. However, everyone will be able to learn and do some fishing.

Will you provide the fishing tackle and bait?

Yes! All equipment will be provided by the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, Boy Scouts of America. We even have angler instructors to make sure your child practices safety and technique.

What should I bring?

You can bring water, snacks, insect repellant, hand wipes/sanitizers, sun protection, money for parking and other necessities you find fit.

I'm not a new Cub Scout, can I still attend the event?

Yes, you may! This event is for both registered Scouts and kids who want to explore the world of Scouting. Tag along a friend!
